Make sure to complete the Middle School Honors Jazz Registration here or the High School Honors Jazz Registration here.
LIVE AUDITIONS will be held on Wednesday, November 15th, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Miami Arts Studio 6-12 located at 15015 SW 24th Street, Miami, FL 33186.
High School auditions will begin at 4:00 p.m.
Middle School auditions will begin at 5:00 p.m.
Middle School Honors Jazz Audition
Audition Requirements:
Students are required to perform both the MS Jazz Swing Etude AND the MS Bossa Etude
Optional Scale: Brass Players will play a Bb Concert Scale two octaves by memory. This will help to determine the lead player in the trumpets and trombones
Optional Improvisation on Fast Blues in Bb with the Jamey Aebersold Track – Improv will not count against the student, it will only help.
